Unlocking the Mystery of Spirit Guides
Have you ever felt like you were alone, disconnected from the divine and that all your guides have just abandoned you?
Well, they haven’t left you at all! Even when you feel as though you are completely alone and disconnected from everything the divine is always with you.
Your soul chose this life, and your guides before your incarnation on this heart, you chose to have them walk with you through your life, from the moment of your first breath, and throughout your entire life.
Spirit Guides
Spirit guides are highly evolved and they have completed the cycle of birth and death in the physical plane, many times and are now serving as teachers and guides to further elevate their vibrations. Their soul growth happened throughout their lifetimes, as is yours until they were ready to help walk you through the journey of life too.
They guide you by working through your dreams, intuition and psychic abilities. They can quite often be that quiet voice you hear, the thing you just know, that image in your head, those nudges are often the voice of your teachers and guides.
They may also make themselves known to you through signs and symbols. For me, when I am at a crossroads in my life or journeying through a personal or emotional challenge, I find feathers everywhere. I also see repeating numbers, owls and hear certain songs, or lyrics just pop into my head. I also see images, and hear them speaking to me, as though they are my own thoughts. It is a reminder for me to be still and listen to the guidance of my guides and sometimes even look inwards to figure out what they are wanting me to know. The feathers for me show that my guides are with me and supporting me and to ask them for help.
How many guides do I have?
Some people have one guide and others have more than one, this depends on the path and purpose of your life as well as what is going on in your life at that moment, For example, a teacher/professor may have several guides, one to guide them through their career and others to help them with the emotional aspects of their life and carer. A lot of who your guides are is due to your journey through life.
Are my spirit guides my past loved ones?
Some people believe that your spirit guides aren’t your past loved ones, but I know that isn’t true. Whilst Spirit guides are sometimes not a loved one who has passed away, they can sometimes decide to become a guide of yours.
They are still there, even if they aren’t a spirit guide, and you can contact them. Some people have archangels and angels as spirit guides who are always with them. But, the presence of angels does not always mean they are your spirit guides. Angels support everyone and can be called in times of distress to assist you for a short time.
Do my guides ever leave me?
Your spirit guide is always with you, whether you acknowledge their presence or not. You cannot call them to you or send them away, they are part of your journey. However, you can decide to find out who they are and what their role in your life is.
If you want to know who your guides are, just ask. Sit in a quiet and meditative space and ask that they reveal themselves to you. Do not get discouraged if you do not figure it out right away. Beings from the spiritual realm can often communicate through signs and symbols. Once you ask, you must trust your wisdom. Pay attention to the pictures that appear in your mind. If you see a man in a suit, stay with that. You may see a Native American, a Buddhist monk, white light or you may see nothing at all. It’s all valid, but don’t try and force an image if you don’t see one that’s all good too. Keep your mind and intuition open. Pay attention to things that keep coming up after you have asked that they reveal who they are. Remember, it’s not important to know who they are, they are still there regardless of if you know them or not.
Working with your Spirit Guide
Working with your spirit guides can be an incredible tool for your own personal and spiritual growth. Unlike beings who are in the physical, their wisdom and advice are not influenced by the “world”. For example, if you seek guidance from your spirit guide regarding a relationship, they will lead you to focus on what you are learning, what you need to learn, what you are teaching your partner, and what is the true meaning of your relationship. The information that you will be provided with will be actions that YOU can take to gain more understanding. You can also ask your spirit guides to assist you in physical healing. Before you go to sleep, ask that as you are sleeping, you receive healing and it will be done.
You are not alone!
You are never alone, and not in a creepy X-Files kinda way. Take faith in knowing and understanding that there is so much magic and mystery in this life. Just for a moment let the “world” disappear. Raise your vibration and allow the beautiful gifts of spirit to wash over you. Life is so much more than what we see. Open your spiritual eyes and hearts and you will discover a world of wisdom, beauty and peace that you never knew existed. Of course, you can always choose to not believe, the choice is yours. Why not step into another level of existence? Why not believe in magic? You do not have to announce it to the world, although if you’re here then you probably want to, but are still scared of doing so. Embrace the wonders of spirit in your own heart. It will envelop you in a light of love and understanding and will transform you into a more connected and loving soul.
